Chiswick Station Footbridge - Missing!

I haven't seen a thread on this - I was at Chiswick today and the station footbridge is closed, with the main deck missing for refurbishment/replacement. The signs state that the works would run from 2 August to 15 September! The diversionary pedestrian route takes well over five minutes extra. Does anyone know what has gone wrong here and a likely completion date?
