Hi there. Over the last couple of days I can see that Chipping Sodbury Tunnel is blocked.

Just wondered if it is due to Floodwater/ Landslide etc.

Cheers

Flooding, we were told. It's notorious for it, if there is more than a light drizzle.

We did have 20 hours continuous rain in this area so I can imagine an area susceptible to flooding would struggle.

Add to that the same problem in the WSM area, a fatality at Slough and signalling problems at Filton Abbey Wood and it was something of a messy couple of days :(

However, this cheered me up; last night on the 18.21 from Bristol Temple Meads to Cardiff a guy ran upto the train just as the guard was doing the final checks and said "this train goes to Bristol Parkway right?"......"no" says the guard.....at which the guy looks aghast at him and says "it doesn't? Why not? I don't believe this."

Yeah, thanks for that. As I dont sign this portion of track I was unaware of the potential for flooding.

Of course I am well aware of flooding potential st Flax Bourton.

Thanks once again all
