Hi all

I've got to be in Knaresborough by 3pm this afternoon, aside from a Chinley to Knaresborough Anytime Return at £18.70 with a railcard is there any cheaper way I can do the whole of the LDS to YRK via Harrogate line?

I have a feeling that is the cheapest way, especially given CLY to Wakefield, Wakefield to Knaresborough at £14.90 is the cheapest way of getting to Knaresborough anyway.

A £16.25 Railcard SDR ANYTIME DAY RETURN CHINLEY - YORK allows travel outward via Knaresborough and return via Garforth using map combination HV+DY.

This is allowed because map DY shows a single straight line between Leeds and York which does not pass through any other Routeing Point. This is valid by any route between Leeds and York which does not pass through another Routeing Point, allowing outward via Knaresborough and return via Garforth.
