China are picking up on their rail. I have many Chinese e-pals who talk about ever-bad rail systems - however, they are in the mainland, Hong Kong is a rich SAR.

I live in Tianjin and work in Beijing, so I take CRH trains a lot, especially CRH2 trains. As of April 27, 2008, I've had 4 CRH1 rides, 219 CRH2 rides and 8 CRH5 rides since they first appeared in 2007, travelled 40,101 km on CRHs in just over one year.
