Does anyone know if the Super Off Peak Returns are still available on Chiltern this weekend?

I know there is engineering work but I'm happy to travel via Oxford.

Yes; FGW are accepting Route High Wycombe tickets from Paddington via Oxford. Change at Oxford for northbound Chiltern services.

London Underground will accept your Chiltern ticket from Oxford Circus/Marylebone to Paddington if required to enable you to make your connection from Paddington. Tickets also valid at other locations however this isn't helpful for your journey.

I'm actually travelling from Brum to London so I'll turn up at Moor Street and hope they don't look at me as if I'm mad then I ask for a Super Off Peak

Depending on where you're travelling to, your ticket may be valid via Oxford anyway.

The Banbury Super Off Peak is routed Any Permitted. The Super Off Peaks to anywhere between Leamington and Stratford Upon Avon (therefore as far as Hatton on the route to Birmingham) are routed Banbury.
Therefore they are valid via Oxford.
(Routing Guide Maps BB+WR to go into Paddington
BB+WX to go into Waterloo either direct from Reading, via Basingstoke or via North Downs Line to Guildford and thence via Woking rather than anything through Effingham Junction
Same maps/routes as Waterloo for Victoria but changing additionally at Clapham Junction)

Edit- as you're travelling from Brum, the above isn't really relevant to you when there's no engineering works!

No problems. If you need to use LU to get from Paddington to Marylebone in any case it's still valid on LU during engineering works.

My reading of the Routeing Guide confirms this (unless of course your ticket is routed CHILTERN ONLY).

Season tickets are always valid for journeys somewhere between the origin and destination, hence why the print says "Between X and Y" instead of the "From X to Y" on a single or return.

Unless I'm missing something, FGW services from Banbury run to Didcot Parkway only.

For the record, Coventry to London goes by map CS, GC, or TV.

CS has all sorts of ridiculous possibilities. It looks like you could go from Coventry to Leamington Spa:

• directly
• via Birmingham, Tyseley, and either Stratford-on-Avon or Warwick
• via Nuneaton to Birmingham and then as previously to Leamington Spa
• via Nuneaton, Leicester, Loughborough, optionally Nottingham, Derby, Tamworth and/or Lichfield, then Birmingham and as previously to Leamington Spa

All you need to do is ensure you don't double back. From Leamington Spa you continue to Banbury then either via West Ruislip to Marylebone or via Reading to Paddington.

Map GC takes you either directly or via Birmingham to Leamington Spa, then on to West Ruislip and either via Greenford to Paddington or via Wembley to Marylebone.

Map TV is Coventry to Rugby, then Bletchley (optionally via Northampton) and on to Euston.

Obviously tickets routed LDN MIDLAND ONLY, HIGH WYCOMBE, or VIRGIN TRNS ONLY will reduce your available choices.
