Can somebody please explain why Chiltern are running a very limited service in the week before Christmas please. I can't understand why there are NO TRAINS at all on Sunday 18th. Also but why is the rest of the week very limited? Is it because of the RMT work to rule action? This is from National Rail.
Sunday 18 December:
There will be no Chiltern Railways services operating on any route.
Monday 19 December to Friday 23 December inclusive:
A VERY LIMITED timetable will be in operation:
1 train per hour London Marylebone - stations to Oxford Parkway (and vice-versa).
1 train per hour London Marylebone - stations to Banbury (and vice versa).
1 train per hour London Marylebone - stations to Aylesbury (via High Wycombe, and vice-versa).
1 train per hour Aylesbury Vale Parkway - stations to Amersham (and vice-versa). You can use London Underground between Amersham and Baker Street.
Please note there will be NO Chiltern Railways service North of Banbury, nor to / from Oxford.
Start of service will generally be between 08.00 and 09.00, and end of service will generally be between 21.00 and 22.00.
