Chiltern Railways - Season Ticket Refund Value Query

I will be returning my annual Season Ticket on Sunday 2nd September 2018. It is valid until 20th December 2018.

Aylesbury - London Zones 1-6 Any permitted route.

Please can someone advise as to how much the refund should be?

I don't have access to the fare your ticket would have been sold at last year, but the refund should be about 19% of the price of the ticket, less a £10 admin fee.

It was £4290 since they gave a discount for several days of disruption. Thanks in advance.

You might yield a greater refund by getting a changeover to a Hatton - Lapworth season ticket.

I'm not sure how the charter discount is dealt with but a full price Aylesbury - London Zones 1-6 Annual Season at the time of purchase was £4,440.

If submitted on 2nd September for a refund I believe you would have used 8 months and 13 days and would be due a refund of £834.70 (An 8 month 13 day season ticket is £3,595.30 then there is a £10 admin fee)

A Hatton - Lapworth Annual Annual Season ticket costs £160 and a changeover is done on a pro-rata basis.
Daily rate of Aylesbury ticket is £12.16
Daily Rate of Hatton ticket is £0.44

Charge due is 256 days of the Aylesbury ticket (£3,114.08) plus 109 days of the Hatton ticket (£47.78), totalling £3,161.86

Refund due is amount paid (£4,440) less charge due (3,161.86) which is £1,278.14.

There is no admin fee on a changeover plus you get to keep Gold Card benefits until 20th December. My figures might be slightly out but they won't be far wrong.
