The blue bubble (121020) is back in service today. Not sure what the issue is with 121034.

Just in case it is of interest to anyone, the bubble car appears to be in use in the afternoons this week due to the Evergreen 3 blockade. Don't have the diagram, sorry. The green one was on duty today. Didn't run yesterday due to lack of suitable driver.

121 034 certainly worked on Tuesday afternoon as I saw it at Princes Risborough arriving with 2P12 at 17:57.

The weather on Wednesday and Thursday was awful so I didn't go out, but sunny today. I went to see 2P10, 15:41 from Aylesbury, its first booking on the diagram, but 165 027 turned up on the service. Whether the bubble will take up the diagram later today, I don't know.

I couldn't see it in its usual spot at Aylesbury depot earlier in the day, so perhaps it is out of action.

It was suffering from a door interlock problem and was being attended to inside the depot. Not sure if it has run yet today - I left before it was due out. Unfortunately 121020 is also broken so couldn't substitute

Mornings only this week. Going back to mornings and evenings with the new timetable next week. Sorry, don't have diagrams yet.

Thanks for that RPM, 121 034 worked the first two shuttles this morning which I saw, I presume it worked the rest as well!

I presume that 121 020 is broken, as it's been dumped (coupled to 960 010 and 960 015) on the branch siding since the end of last week? 121 034 is doing the honours at the moment.

Rode on 121 034 on Bank Holiday Monday from Quainton Road to Aylesbury & back. It took me back I can tell you, a huge Proustian rush remembering running up all the Thames Valley Branches in the 80s & 90s.

Yes, and 960010. I gather they are going to be sold so won't be coming back to AYS.

I guessed that something was on the cards when they went into the shed a couple of weeks ago. Can't say that I'm surprised, although I'm very sorry to see the maroon saloon go!

weekdays only. If they have started running on weekends, i am sure someone would have posted it here by now.

Generally no - due to manning requirements. However, when Chiltern are short of 165s (or there are events at Wembley that require strengthening of services by using the branch unit) it is not unknown for the 121s to come out to play. They have been used all day on weekdays before now.
