Chiltern Advances in December

Hello,

I need to buy a ticket for travelling on 28 Dec, but there are no advance fares available for Marylebone-Birmingham on Chiltern. I have played with the journey planner and it seems there are plenty in January, but none in the week between Christmas and New Year.

Is it likely that they've already been sold out or are they going to be released later?

Quite possible that they think that the weekday trains between Christmas and New Year are going to be busy enough not to have to sell Advances to fill them.

Isn't Paddington closed about then? Marylebone > Oxford and Marylebone > Brum > Hereford & Worcester etc will be taking up some of the alternatively routed passengers.

It's a shame though - I'll probably take Virgin then, they do have some advances on sale.
