Thanks to both of you for that very useful lot of information. It is interesting to note the 1212 BSW-MYB is booked to have a 172 on it, I must make an effort to get back to the Midlands for some Chiltern bashing!

Not just in this thread, but others also, posts are put out with such confidence by using the terms 'booked' and knowing what unit combinations are and knowing the variations of days (Fridays only, not Mondays etc), it leads me to believe that the fleet diagrams are available for this rolling stock. Now I am aware that they are not for public viewing but this does not stop other forums making this info available, especially for the emu sector. I for one, and I sure others might agree that it would be great to be able to see the diagrams for Chiltern's 165, 168 & 172 fleet, and why not other TOC's too.

I also get that if a service is booked to be 4 cars but turns up with 3 the TOC is providing a stick of which to beat them with, but they publish short formations on their websites anyway.

So my point is that if many emu/hst/lhcs diagrams and cwn's are available why are some others hidden away so secretively?

The long and the short of it is that it depends which traction type and service group diagrams those who work in the railway industry are prepared to, or choose to leak! I'm not aware that any TOC purposefully publishes diagram information, so what is available is solely down to what people choose to reveal!

Probably the two centre cars from 168005, which is out of use with a broken windscreen.

172 leading (which goes onto the Depot at AYS for Main) and a 2 car 168 on the rear. The only other diagram on a Saturday is a double that comes up on 1H02 from BAN then works OXF's 1T13/1Y13/1T47/1Y55/1T59/1Y71 and then goes 1U71 2240 back to BAN.

Please tell me as to how you found out the 168 work on these. I'm interested to see the 3 and 4 car, 168s. A 3 car 168 is listed to leave Aylesbury at 0948 however no train leaves Aylesbury at this time, nearest being the 0945 and that is a 165.

We are now in the leaf fall timetable. Trains leave Aylesbury slightly earlier on up direction Met line services.

Yup, figured out that as the 0827 up the met is a 3 car 165 +3 car 168, they both split at Aylesbury. The Turbo leaves first Via High Wycombe, stopping also at all stations between West Ruislip and Sudbury Hill Harrow. The 3 car 165 then shortly leaves via the met.
