I heard a child say the following yesterday, which some people may find amusing:

When the Greenbank train gets to Manchester (Northern Rail 142/150/156 service) they put it to sleep because it's old and tired but when the Hartford train (LM 350 service) gets to Liverpool it's still got plenty of energy so goes back straight away.

:D Wonderful.

I wonder if the child in question knew that deceased pets are 'put to sleep' as well...

I had to smile the other day, I was working a train and getting off at one station was a mother with her young daughter. The little girl was telling me about going shopping and the cheese sandwich she was going to have for lunch.
Anyway, as they were getting off, the mum says. 'watch the gap'. As the child took the big step the mum says ' what happens if your not carefull and you fall down the gap?'
The child...'buzz'

On way to look at the third rail.
