whats the best price on the day, and my friend doesnt mind splitting his tickets anywhere either.
any day of the week it doesnt matter either

Chester (CTR) - Evesham (EVE)
Off Peak Return (SVR) is valid on any train (no peak restrictions) and priced at £45.90. Return within 1 month.
This seems expensive to me.

I think it may well be cheaper to split, but is this a day return or return within one month or a single?

Assuming a day return:-
Chester - Birmingham Stns CDR £17.10 (by any train at or after 0845 M-F; any time Sat/Sun. Rtn same day any time)
Birmingham Stns - Evesham CDR £12.10 (by any train at or after 0900 M-F; any time Sat/Sun. Rtn same day any time)
