Surely that must be an anomaly? £40k a Standard Class Annual Season?

I find it very strange that Merseyrail own the 'route Helsby' flow...

Hmm,

7 Day Season route Any Permitted, £42.50.
7 Day Season route Helsby, £1000 :shock:

The cost of a 12 month season ticket = 40 * 7 Day season ticket. The last two months are "free."
