Chertsey to Covent Garden

Hi

I want a single from Chertsey to Covent Garden tomorrow afternoon, travelling at 3pm. I have looked on National Rail Enquiries and for just 80p odd more than buying a Chertsey to Waterloo I can buy a ticket apparently including travelling on LU. That is cheaper than 1 NR journey to Waterloo and a separate single on Oyster PAYG So far so good. However, when i click through to buy the ticket from SWT's website - lo and behold I can't buy the LU ticket as the journey planner won't recognise LU zone 1 stations.

So: does a combined ticket including LU portion exist?
Can I buy it from any manned station?
Can I use PRIV?

The National Rail website is displaying a ticket to 'London Underground Zone 1' (NLC is 0785) - £2.90 vs £2.15 single to Waterloo - both have Priv discount

This can be bought from any manned station and is valid for a single journey to any Zone 1 tube station

There doesn't appear to be one but you can ask for your ticket with a Z1-2 travelcard on for an extra £2.20 (before PRIV)

You can on the appropriate ticket (I think it's Anytime singles?)

FWIW, you can walk from Waterloo to Covent Garden in about 15 minutes - the Tube (including entrance/exit/waiting) will likely take as long...

Or take the very good RV1 bus from outside the South Bank entrance to Waterloo tube station (although I realise that in this case, it would work out more expensive than the tube )

According to Avantix, a PRIV single from Chersey (CHY) to Zone U1* Londn (0785) is £2.90.

If you didn't have PRIV, WebTIS based websites will sell tickets to this destination. Simply type from: CHY to: 0785.

I recommend avoiding thetrainline based sites. They're an awful company, with awful software.

However, as you have PRIV, then I think you have to buy from a ticket office (or on board or at destination if ticket office not open) as I am not aware of any website that does PRIV discounts.

Depends on which type of priv you have. If you are ex BR staff then yes. If you are a TOC new entrant then no.

That'll be a Zone 1-6 Travelcard, and Super Off Peak what's more (so no PRIV). The Anytime Travelcard is £22.50 but I've no idea if PRIV would apply.

This. It's a very easy walk and much more pleasant than the Tube.
