I'm considering various options for a day trip to London. I'd like to know if I can get the outboundary travelcard fulfilled to smartcard. As I understand it each ticket has to be enabled for each fulfilment method. Is there some way to find out what has been enabled for a given ticket? I can't find any information on fulfilment options on brfares.

I think if it is I can probably only get it put on my smartcard at a ticket office or TVM? I have a Greater Anglia smartcard but the ticket in question is Canley to London off peak day travelcard so definitely not their patch.

Like most train companies, they will happily sell you tickets outside of their area, and if selected for smartcard fulfilment will offer that option.

Using the Greater Anglia (GA) app, and selecting random train times after 10am for tomorrow from Canley, I was offered an off peak travelcard for £78 which on the following screen was offered with fulfilment to my GA smartcard. To get it fulfilled to a GA smartcard you will need to use the GA website or app and the GA account that the smartcard is registered to, or as you say, you would need to use a ticket office or TVM (having selected the ITSO option). If using the website, you would still need to get the ticket downloaded onto the smartcard before travel (either via an appropriate app, or via a ticket machine, or gateline)

As you obviously have a GA account in order to have obtained the GA Smartcard, you should just book your journey via the GA app, assuming you have a smartphone. If you select Underground as the destination it should offer various zone combinations including 1-6 which is the one for 1-day Travelcards.

Sometimes I have found that a TOC app will only show etickets in the first offer, but tapping that option brings up a Smartcard option as well. If your phone is NFC enabled, you will be able to load the ticket onto the Smartcard from the app on the phone.

If you are booking within the (generous) minimum time that TOCs impose for TOD fulfilment, (as would be required for paper Travelcards) then the Smartcard option is likely to be the only one offered online.

Ah the problem is I wanted the LNWR only day travelcard which doesn't seem to be enabled for smartcard fulfilment. There must be a database I could check that lists which are enabled or is it an internal industry tool only? In which case the only way to find out is to go through the apps and almost book a journey which can't be helping their look-to-book ratios...

I can't see an easy way to check Travelcard tickets but certainly for point to point fares, this tool on the NRE website is very helpful in showing which fares are fulfilled for e-Tickets/on a Smartcard.
