I've found one ticket which I would like to know the validity of which I found on Adventix Traveller by putting in a query for one Adult to travel from Hertford North to Moorgate.

The following is what I got:

Sorry to go off topic, but it is also possible to apply a PT discount to a plus bus ticket, and apparently Firstbus Glasgow have no problem with it.

No, sorry, privilege ticket, for rail staff, it puts the Glasgow one down to 70p or thereabouts i think.

No, sorry, privilege ticket, for rail staff, it puts the Glasgow one down to 70p or thereabouts i think.

The machine may let you do it, but it isn't valid for Priv discount, you can do the same for some of the attraction inclusive tickets, but they're not valid. This cost someone at Birmingham their travel facilities, because despite several warnings they still kept selling themselves PRIV PLUSBUS tickets.

not sure on pricing,but down here we've got Falmouth Docks to Falmouth town, a trip of no more than a few hundred yards, with a railcard etc cant be more than a few pence

This is the kind of foolishness I don't understand. If you know PRV isn't permitted on PLUSBUS, why would you take the risk for the sake of a few pence? A PBD is only ~£2 for heavens sake.

Bentley to Doncaster is 40p with a railcard; as is Bentley to Adwick. Both are 60p without.

No, priv is not permitted on Plusbus. If a clerk is happy to run the risk of a failed audit or mystery shop that is their choice.

No, he said you can PRIV the PLUSBUS ticket on the machine, he did not say it is valid. And it isn't, I know people who nearly lost their jobs over this.

Just to confirm, i'm in no way advocating this! My passes are far to valuable to me as is my job!

ES3 & ES4 tickets are not available for sale to Joe Public, I'm afraid. They are a form of Inclusive Tour ticket, available for those making an package booking. They appear with a notional value against them in ticket issuing systems to make it possible for authorised issue points to issue them. They actually cost alot more than the notional price, but less than the corresponding walk-up fare levels.

Sorry - it's not. It's a Domestic ITX ticket which can't be issued by TOCs. It's a nominal fare in system for travel agents to issue as part of a package - e.g. return train fares to London + hotel accommodation.

There's an Advance ITX fare from Penzance - Paddington for only £0.05!

I suspect the inclusive price of hotel and rail travel will be far greater than just the hotel price. The Superbreaks website has rail inclusive offers for 2 night breaks to many UK destinations. This would be an example, I suspect, when these nominal fare tickets are issued.
