Hi

I need 1 Adult with a Senior railcard, out this Friday (AM) return Saturday (PM).

Happy to be tied to specific trains but would prefer anytrain depending on saving :)

Thanks

TP

Off-Peak Return is £62.35 so that's the target to beat.

Through Advances are plentiful at £24.40 making £48.80 return.

Splitting at London gives Advances for £19.80 NRW-LIV (return) and £26.05 PAD-BRI, £45.85 total (plus 2 x £1.25 for the Tube) so no real saving.

Splitting further on the GWML doesn't seem to help and I think it will be the same on the GEML. Going via Birmingham is preposterously expensive. The straightforward Advances seem a good price to me.

I recommend splitting at Manningtree. There are singles from Norwich to Manningtree from £3.30 (so from £6.60 return)

I can see singles from Manningtree to Bristol from £14.20 at the times you want to travel (so from £28.40 return)

So potentially £35 return. You don't need to change trains at Manningtree, just make sure that you book on the same train to/from Manningtree!
