Cheapest Eurostar Tickets

Hello, I am looking for cheap tickets for these Eurostar services on the 18th November from Exeter, and I was wondering what the best and cheapest way to purchase tickets for this would be?

First off, you'll need the Eurostar tickets themselves, which come to £238 total. These can be purchased at Eurostar.com.

Secondly, you'll need a CIV protected ticket so onward travel is guaranteed in the event of delay, in either direction. These can be purchased at a ticket office upon presentation of your E* ticket. This comes to £103.90 total if you travel via Honiton, or £145.90 if you travel via Taunton.

Thirdly, assuming you're catching the 2345 GWR service to St Davids, you won't need to pay any extra providing you travel seated, ie not in a bunk. A shared bunk would come to £70 total (GWR) if you feel like upgrading on the day for the 3 hours back.

I can't help but feel that for that amount of money you should spend some more time in France...

I can't spend any more time in France, as the driver who is giving us the cabride is only booked on these two trains.

It's going to be very expensive no matter what, it appears. He told us to have a look ourselves for the fares, but is it possible there are any staff-only deals that he would be able to take advantage of?

But haven't ES domestic sales closed, meaning they'd have book through tickets Exeter-Paris online ( can that be done for the return train at all?).

Assuming the through fare option doesn't work - do you have to have tickets for ES? -, I'd suggest buying the cheapest possible advances for Friday morning, with a generous time allowance in case of delay, a hotel room in London on the Friday night, and an Advance home on Saturday.
