Does anyone know the haulage and rolling stock for the 0649 Manchester Vic to Ascot races today , listed on Realtimetrains as 144E ? I see it starts off ECS Crewe to Man Vic then runs via WCML via Stockport, Birmingham Int, Coventry , Reading to Ascot. Then ECS return to Stewarts Lane , (south London) , before returning from Ascot dep 1806 via Brentford, Wembley, WCML via Crewe to Man Vic then ECS back to Crewe! Quiet a few miles ! Any change of haulage , bearing in mind RTT says diesel haulage , could it not be electric haulage on WCML return ?
Also , who organised the charter please?

It was the Belmond Northern Belle with 47853 leading with 47832 tucked in behind. I think they're coming back TnT

So how do you get the diesel loco(s) to Wembley to take over from the electric?
Where will you change the locos over?
How long will it take (each way) adding to the journey length?
Who will be in charge of changing the locos over?
What do you do with the electric when its waiting for the train to return and who is going to drive it there?

Will that do for starters!

Locos reported as 47790 and 47853

47832 was stored two days ago at Crewe Gresty Bridge with a (major) electrical fault (having failed on Saturdays return leg of the Cleethorpes-Alnmouth Northern Belle)
