Charter train at preston

Joined a blackpool bound train last night at Preston (31/7) then just as we we were leaving I noticed a steam loco hauling charter carriages sitting at one of the platforms. Because of the rain on the windows I couldn't really see properly so missed a decent view but does anyone know where this train was heading and where it originated from. thanks.

Probably the Fellsman (1Z53 Carlisle to Lancaster via S&C) which runs every Wednesday. Was at Preston from 1945 to 2005 last night. No idea what was on it though.

I was at Preston and saw this - it was indeed 45231 with the Fellsman, and 47580 tucked in behind.
