Person hit at Tile Hill causing problems into Birmingham.

Chiltern route also has problems at High Wycombe.

Main route into Norwich has delays at Chelmsford.

Some sort of obstruction is messing up the Great Western Line from beyond Bristol.

To top it all off, Brighton Main Line has engineering works that have overrun!

Came home from my night shift this morning on the 05:40 FCC Brighton-Bedford,which was over sixty down when I boarded at Gatwick at 07:25. The driver announced it would terminate short at Luton and would not call at London Bridge.

Severe delays between Aberdeen and Dundee now due to 'multiple points failures due to power failure'

Between the parallel lines
There was a trespasser (or there were trespassers - not sure) on the track at Merstham this evening. A good number of trains were delayed between 5 and 30 minutes, with a few delays greater than this. Here's an example from one of my own journeys today: the 1738 ECR-RDH (full route VIC-REI/HRH) departed a couple of minutes late from ECR and was 15 down at RDH. Lots of waiting at red signals...

Here's what NRE said:
Incident created: 15/02/2012 18:14
Route affected: London Bridge / London Victoria, East Croydon, Purley, Merstham, Redhill, Earlswood / Reigate, Gatwick Airport, Three Bridges, Horsham / Brighton
Train operator affected: Southern
Description: A trespass incident is causing disruption at Merstham. Because of this, there are delays of up to 25 minutes between Purley and Redhill. These delays are expected to last until approximately 19:15.

The incident started a considerable time before 1814. The first train I personally noticed was delayed was the 1723 ECR-BTN (full route VIC-BTN).

I'm sorry to say that news is just in of a fatality due to a person hit by a train at Ealing Broadway (mainline) some time after 2221. Paddington trains are rather delayed.

My condolences go to those who are affected by having to deal with the situation, and of course to the friends and family of the victim.

Intrastructure issue at Hertford, failed train at Potters Bar, points failure at Peterborough and over running works at Balcombe made it a nightmare peak for FCC.

There was also a passenger taken ill at Pulborough late evening which added more delays to Southern.

I was in the Birmingham area or most of the day, and I only had a few small (under 10 minute) delays.

Good job I didn't do a Wales bash again by the sounds of it
