Planning to travel from Liverpool Lime Street to Euston this Friday December 28th probably on the 16:42 along with two other family members. I'm tempted to try making three separate bookings with three different accounts via the Skyscanner app in order to get £5 (MSEDEC) or £4 (SKYRAIL) off each booking.
Even if they're booked in quick succession I realise that there's a risk that the seats booked may not be close together, so I'm wondering whether it would easy (and free) to change the reservations so that they are. Despite the tickets being purchased online would I be able to change the reservations at Lime Street on the day before travel? At the ticket office or at the Virgin reception? And, that close to travel, would there be likely to be availability of, say, two seats together and a third close by?
