Hi

I’m making the most of the Virgin seat sale and planning on having a day trip from Crewe to Glasgow.

I will need a connecting train, which gets into Crewe at 07.24, my virgin train would leave at 07.32.

Would I have enough time to make this connection. I feel I would, would you all agree?

Many thanks

The minimum connection time at Crewe is 10 minutes, so in the event if a delay to the first service you can not get a later train for the second leg on the original ticket as you have not left enough time for the connection.

I concur with others; it's not a valid connection.

So if you do make it, consider yourself lucky.

And if you don't, there is no entitlement to get to Glasgow without buying another ticket.

I’ve decided to see sense and get into Crewe on the 6.17 instead, it makes for a longer day, but I would stress about meeting the connection and now I can have an hour in the first class lounge instead.
Many thanks for the replies

I hope you're travelling on a weekday, as the lounge doesn't open until 8am on Saturday and 12 noon on a Sunday!

No worries - though an hour in that lounge can be a very long time! Time for a quick McBreakfast, if that's your thing.
