Just a quick one -

Using an off peak return from Leeds to Northwich.

Is there anything stopping me, on the return portion of the ticket, changing off the Northern service going from Northwich-Stockport, gettin into Stockport at xx:14 and jumping on the xx:16 Virgin non stop to Piccadilly? Tend to find the Northern service is late and if I could get the VT it'd give me a chance to drop in and get a baguette for the Manchester - Leeds train!

Any advice appreciated.

Cheers.

There's nothing in ticketing rules to prevent this, but the timetable seems to mean that the opportunity is unlikely to arise.

I don't see the point in this -the time saving is minimal and thats assuming both trains are punctual.
