Changes to the NVR Diesel Gala

Due to various circumstances beyond the Nene Valley Railway's control, there have been a couple of changes to the Locomotive Line Up. The Class 25 originally coming from Butterley is now not, but 31 190 is now coming to the event. GBRf have also said that they don't have a Locomotive available this time round as they are all allocated to Mainline work this weekend.

I suspect that GBRF were unable to supply traincrews rather than locos as there were four 66s (66723/724/725/727) stabled at Peterborough on Sunday afternoon

AIUI GBRf have 43 diagrams for 47 locos. Take into account those on inspection and the longer term 'sick' members of the fleet and you can appreciate the motive power shortage that they've got. They've just won a load more business, which they need to find resources for.

On Saturday one 66 (705?), ex exam, was failed at Whitemoor.

Just because a few locos were present at Peterborough doesn't mean that they weren't either between booked turns or awaiting exams.
