Well the Torbay ones, at any rate....

Interesting that a few of the older route numbers are going.

Possibly down to Torbay council scrapping it's subsidy for the 22 mornings/evenings and the some of the 11's stuff as well.

Did think the reduction on the DayRider was an April Fools, has to be said!

A good ploy with the change to the 88 to screw the concessions by forcing a change at Totnes if travelling from Torbay to Buckfastleigh etc and Increasing ridership figures on Gold.

There is one missing. The GOLD service between Torquay and Plymouth is also revised wef 18-May-2014. My understanding as to what is to happen came to me on an enthusiast group and the message was this:

- - - - -

GOLD - Major re jigging of the service with a Half Hourly service introduced to Plymouth. First bus on weekdays from Torquay will now be 0500 and the last departing from Plymouth at 2230. Dartmouth becomes a feeder service from Totnes. Additional services on Sundays to cope with the day traffic from Plymouth to the Riviera. This will increase the PVR so expect some new Scanias soon at Torquay ??

Ah! I too shared your scepticism when I saw it this morning! However, when I asked the driver (one of the regulars on that route) if we would be having the rustbucket (Trident 2) back tomorrow, he said nope, its a proper switchover over the coming month or so. He had all the Gold uniform gubbins on as well.
