In addition to destroying the train service, have GTR also changed some fare restrictions? eg First permitted off-peak train from Huntingdon to Kings Cross (previously 09.01 now 09. 12 if it runs) was Restriction L4 (arrives London after 10.00) but is now restriction 5J (earliest departure 09.19). Strangely the VTWC website still gives the old restriction and old price. The evening off peak restrictions also seem to have changed on NRE.

Looks like two different tickets are coming up here. The ticket with restriction 5J is the Off-Peak return, whereas the ticket with restriction L4 is the Off-Peak Day return.

I checked National Rail Enquiries and GWR, and both offered the Off-Peak Day return for travelling on the 0912 from Huntingdon to Kings Cross. Which website did you use on that offered the Off-Peak return instead of the Day return for this journey?

Thanks - it seems that NRE/Trainline have (a) removed the OFF PEAK Day Return (CDR) and (b) quoted an Anytime fare for the 09.12.

CDR still available on other websites (but not GTR's!) But strangely this has only happened since the new timetable has been loaded.

We were chasing around for a week fixing restrictions after the new trains through the Thameslink core came in. Some very strange things were happening
