Change LNER booking to any card collection?

Is it possible to change a booking made on LNER to any card collection?

Yes it should be possible but you would need to contact LNER.

When I tried to get TPE to do this they caused no end of trouble for me and tried on several occasions to get me to buy an whole new ticket, until I went to Cambridge station (operated by Greater Anglia) who sorted it out with no fuss and even told me TPE were delibrately being awkward

That was TPE, not LNER.

We know how to do it, we just don't have the fuctionality that does it.
