Change at Poplar for Elizabeth line?

Just looking at the latest underground map as I have not been in London for a couple of years. Would a change (walk) from Poplar to Canary Wharf be possible and ever make sense for a journey from London City Airport to Goodge St. (weekday morning)?

Come to think of it I could go the 'wrong way' and do a change at Woolwich, that seems to be a short walk.
Maybe the Jubilee line option wins on time though.

Looks like when finished it could be a much more direct route from Poplar DLR to the Crossrail station.

What also may be of use or interest to you is a new DLR timetable starts on Monday and according to a TfL press release issued today, DLR services on the Stratford <> Canary Wharf route are being increased from every 6-7 Min to every 4 Min at peak times (with every other train extending to Lewisham), and from every 10 Min to every 5 Min at off peak times, meaning there will be more trains from Poplar to West India Quay/Canary Wharf/Heron Quays.
