It would be an amazing fairytale though if Swansea could do it. Bottom of the league to the top tier in 8 years.

Reading simply because I think they are more experienced. The championship will definitely be more interesting with Posh back in it though!

No, the rule still applies that they are a Welsh team playing in England, so the English FA will not put them forward as a representative. The same applies with the Welsh FA, Swansea don't participate in any FAW competitions so they cannot put them forward either. This is now more compounded by the fact that the FAW no longer allow Welsh clubs that play in the English league to paricipate in the Welsh Cup. Before 1996, Cardiff were regularly involved in the now defunct European Cup Winners Cup sue to winning the Welsh Cup.
However, in 2008 when Cardiff reached the FA Cup final, UEFA were willing to give them their place as a wildcard and the FA have been lobbied with regards to changing their stance.

Perhaps but if Small Heath can win the Carling Cup then anyone can win it! Albeit it's not the champions league but I believe the Europa League has the same result.
Absoutley devasted about yesterday, credit to Rodgers & Swansea especially Sinclair, they were superb.
Proud of our boys, they came storming back from the first half shambles and when Karacan hit the post I just got the feeling it wasn't going to be our day.

I think it's not entirely unfair to say that they abused the loan market last season and with those players going back to their parent clubs or moving on a new strategy will be needed to get them towards promotion again.

Hmmmmm 2003 last day of the season they nearly dropped out of the football league and couldn't afford the electric bill...fast forward to 2011 now a premier league club with 90 million sheets in the bank

It does show you that it can be done with the right personnel at the club. It has been done in the olden days, aka Northampton Town, and recently, see Blackpool, and now Swansea. What remains to be seen is whether Blackpool will now do a Northampton and slide back into the lower reaches. However with Ollie in charge I can't see that happening.

I can't wait to see Norwich play Man Utd - I can envisage the whole stadium in green and white and home fans being no different in appearance from away ones.

Double standard here: look at The New Saints. Represented Wales in the Champions' League many times and yet they play hpme games in England and are the at least partial descendent of an English club, Oswestry Town. (And a Welsh one, Llansantfraidd, just to complicate things.)
