Tonight is the Champions League Final, and depending on how the afternoon turns out I might just watch it.

Barcelona are understandably the favorites, and I think they'll win.

Having said that, whilst I really don't like them, Manchester United have had an excellent season. They've done very well indeed, and Alex Ferguson is a legendary manager.

Gary Lineker thinks that if Manchester United want any chance of winning, Barcelona will have to have an off day, which isn't likely.

Thoughts?

I have to vote for Barcelona. Manchester United are undoubtably a good team, but Barcelona are outstanding. I think they will past Man U to death with players like Messi.

Messi is the big issue. He may be small, but he's got the speed, the power, the skill, everything!

Yes, Manchester United don't have any player of Messi's quality. In my view players like Rooney doesn't come close!

Rooney? He past his best long ago and is a total disgrace to football. Foul mouthed, badly mannered and about as intelligent as a lobster.

I was going to put a tenner on Barcelona winning but the odds are 19/20, so a £5 bet would get me just £2.50 back!

Gotta go with Barca on this one.

It's a shame that the only thing English about this game is Wembley though!

Don't like United?

Nope, they give the impression of being very arrogant and although I cannot prove it I'm sure they get a lot of favourable decisions that no other team would get - even "Fergie time" has entered the lexicon of pundits. I also dislike them because the media treats them like the best thing since sliced bread.

Although the amount of Norwich fans in green and yellow scarves at Old Trafford is odd  (I do know the real reason behind it for the record)

I dislike the traditional top 4 and man city too though with the exception of Arsenal because they've skewed the league by distorting the transfer market.
There is no longer any competition in the premiership, 4th/5th is the new top now.

You've taken the words from my mouth. I couldn't agree more if I tried to!

For the second time in three years, Barcelona were just too good. Manchester United outclassed.

What a fantastic result. I'll be looking forward to the highlights just so I can watch McTaggart fuming away to himself. Oh what a fine glorious day!:)

So, whose fault will it be this time that Man United didn't win? Let's face it, McTaggart always has to blame somebody - anybody but his own players or his tactics. Such a shame I haven't been able to watch it live....

Am I allowed to say that Manure were just plain awful, and that's a compliment.

And these are the stats from BBC:

Possession 68-32
Shots on target 13-1

Oh dear.

For what it's worth I chose not to watch due to the reasons in post 12 :p

Remember that time when they got stuffed at Southampton and he said their own kit clashed with the crowd? In the annals of McTaggart classics, that's got to be the best.

Still, I'd venture to say that the stats don't lie - they were outclassed by a better side. Never mind:)

The pundits treat Man Utd like demi-Gods and SAF is more revered than Her Majesty! (As an aside fancy getting knighted for being good at your job)

I'd agree on that venture yet will SAF agree?

Barcelona are now cutting the net out of the goal. I hope they get a new net fitted in time for the Championship playoff final.

Will UEFA now disqualify them for criminal damage and reinstate Manu as 'rightful' champions automatically awarded with a 3-0 scoreline.

i`m a man utd fan & for what it`s worth we were outclassed by a far superior team. see,not all man utd fans are bad losers. i don`t like to see them lose. nobody likes to see their team lose but a good fan of any club knows when to accept defeat with dignity.
