I was wondering if anyone knew whether there were any CFL Class 2000 units still running in Luxembourg at the moment? I know they are off to Romania, with a good chunk having left earlier this year, but I just wondered if they’d all been withdrawn now as there were still a few knocking around when I was in Luxembourg earlier this year.

Likewise, are there any of the similar Z2 family of units still running in France (Z7300, Z7500, Z9500, Z9600, Z11500)? Displaced AGCs seem to have been transferred over from other areas to replace them in one former stronghold I frequent.

Thanks in advance!

Haven't been to Luxembourg in some time so can't say anything about those units but there are some Z2 units in service around Nancy and Thionville. They are often found on TER services from Nancy to Epinal and Remiremont, as well as on some peak hour trains between Metz and Thionville and Thionville and Longwy. Best to check the SNCF connect app or website as the type of train is usually shown there. There didn't seem to be any running during the summer break when I checked, not sure about other school breaks.

Thank you very much for the tip!

There was a CFL class 2000 out on a Luxembourg to Wasserbillig diagram today. I also saw another pair arriving at Luxembourg from the nortj later in the day but did not catch where they hadcome from/were going.

They are still around but in limited numbers. I wouldn't luke to guarantee for how much longer and that any would be out on a particular day.

Attached are two photos from today. One showing the interior and the other of unit 2011 at Luxembourg.
