In the latest TransPeak leaflet, there is a ZigZag PLUS ticket adverised for £8.00 for UNLIMITED travel, all day, every day, on TransPeak and other Trent Barton buses....and one child goes free.

I think that the TransPeak leaflet size is very useful for keeping handy in your pocket. I picked up my copy in Stockport bus station Travelshop.

Indeed. That probably doesn't help. If you're thinking of having a day out there's many places you can get to from Derby or Nottingham for rather less.

Non of the Dove Holes routes are mango equipped, the system requires a new init ticket machine, Dove Holes still uses the older 'almex machines'

Incidentally, init machines are all the same colour, so perhaps if they had changed over, they would have avioded that embaressing incident where the bus wa delayed whilst they replaced a red machine with a green one, to match the livery of the bus!

I used to use Zigzag to both Manchester and Meadowhall (pre-Pronto). First time I went to Manchester on one would be late 1992. Not sure when the last time I used one on either route was.

Buses not mango equipped are the two darts on 185/186, Transpeak fleet (8 vehciles), the 12 Wright Solars for Skyline and Dove Holes spare (9) and the 4 Wright Solars on Pronto (4). Centrelink solos also aren't equipped, based on the fact that its a free service.

As well as the machine itself, buses have to be fitted with the GPS technology and this includes a white cone on the roof. The exact cost, I don't know but there was a suggestion that the GPS technology may have failed whilst the buses were in the peaks

That is an occurence that does not surprise me. Communication problems exist in some of the more remoter parts of that area.

The 442 service from Buxton to Ashbourne goes through many of the rural areas in-between and quite often, it is impossible to get a mobile phone signal. This, I heard, was a problem on some of the holiday caravan sites in the area, from talking to some visitors from Dorset who were staying there.
