I was looking at the London Midland class 150 3 car hybrid units, when Central Trains first formed these units by using class 150/2`s to be centre cars they were fitted with a Destination Blind on the Driver side, and a via Blind on Second Man side. I have noticed that none of the 150/2 centre cars have destination blinds fitted anymore and very few have via blinds now.
In the late 90`s there were a quite a few class 153 and 156 without blinds fitted due to Central Trains running out and not ordering more until at least 2002, all of a sudden the 153s and 156s were fitted with class 150 blinds - so im guessing that the blinds would of been taken out of the 150/2 units acting as centre cars - does anyone know if this is what actually happened??
I remember 153385, 156402, 156407, 156410, 156412, 156414, 156415 running round with at least 1 or no blinds at all then all got fitted with class 150 blinds. I remember seeing 156414 running around with a class 150 via blind for a while, as i saw it at Grantham with "via New Street" on the front on a Skegness to Aberystwyth service in 1999, and then saw it again in 2000 with "Robin Hood" on front whilst working a Worksop service.
