I know the core is the Edinburgh-Falkirk High-Glasgow Queen Street route and have seen Stirling mentioned as a near certainty. Where will the Stirling wires terminate? At present, many of the local services terminate at Dunblane or Alloa- so wires at least as far there?
With three out of four Glasgow-Edinburgh lines electrified, will the Shotts route be wired up too? Cumbernauld too? The infills are surely easier and cheaper than the delicate task of extending into Fife.
