Hi all,
I'm very happy to see that Central Line is available for OpenBVE.
However, I don't run OpenBVE on Windows so I can't do anything with the .exe file.
Will OpenBVE routes and trains be released as archive files (.7z, .zip) for Linux users?
Thanks.

AFAIAA the general consensus is that oBVE routes should be released in .7z/zip format only....

If you can't run that exe how can you run the openBVE exe to start the game?

EXE files are generally executables containing machine code and can only be run on Windows, including the often encountered installers.

However, openBVE is a .NET application, which is technically not machine code even though it is an EXE file, but something the .NET framework converts at runtime to machine code, thus it can be used on other operating systems as well.

Therefore, OpenBve.exe can be run on Linux/Mac, but installers cannot (except if they were also .NET applications, which is not the case).

Is there any plans on extending this line from perivale... Yes the line is fun and fast but it would be nice to have continuous work making and releasing further stages of the route till it is completed.... I hope so

Many thanks

It will be extended part Perivale, it jsut wont be yet. It will eventually run to white city, then to liverpool street, then reverse onto Ealing Broadway. The 1992 Will also recieve a 3D cab and possibly an OpenBVE fix (depending on time)

I am currently working on another project within BVE and will return to this once this one has been completed.

Regards to all, Dan
