Central Connect East Midlands (previously Vectare) and Central Connect (Essex) have cancelled many bus registrations from 27th July. In Nottinghamshire the 90/92/93/97 have been cancelled.

In Essex the majority of registrations have been cancelled from the same date.

Does anyone know if these services are being withdrawn, or perhaps are they being reregistered? The 90 has recently been upgraded and is very popular, so it would be very odd to withdraw it.

The only route staying on the Galleon Travel O-Licence is the 25; even the 420/A will be cancelled, to be replaced by the 20/21/22 on the primary Vectare O-Licence.

Not a whole picture... there is a substantial volume of none ECC (Essex County Council) funded work which across the board will see a PVR increase by the end of Summer.

Hadn't they given up most of the Saffron Walden contracts already, and stated that they would not bid for them?

As far as I can see, they have lost the 9, 61 and 322-324, which I make a PVR of 5, and gained 1 PVR on the 5 in Harlow.

I‘m including the stuff they ‘gave up’ in April. 316, 319/20 then in addition the 59/590 (total PVR 5) plus the 5 PVR you mention = 10. And then the gain of the 5 which I forgot - so net 9 lost. Sorry my maths was dodgy!

Looks like some interesting gains on rural services in Hertfordshire from September. Some of these bring regular service to an area which has rarely had any service, let alone this frequent. Presumably BSIP funded.

35/35B/35C Bishop's Stortford to Hertford
Vectare
Revised timetable and operator change to Vectare. Similar frequency with additional buses on 35C serving Bishop's Stortford. Saturday timetable altered to interwork with new service 36 to provide hourly service from Little Hadham into Bishop's Stortford with all journeys now serving the interchange, Potter Street and Bridge Street.

36/36A Bishop's Stortford to Buntingford
Vectare
New service replacing a section of the 386 route. (386 service operated by Richmond's Coaches journeys are unaffected) Service 36/36A will run up to every hour Mondays to Fridays, every two hours on Saturdays. The 36 will operate via Westmill and the 36A will operate via Braughing and The Hormeads. Most journeys will connect with new 37 service from Buntingford to/from Stevenage.

Central Connect East Midlands is having an odd occurrence with seemingly all but one of their many ADL Enviro200 MMCs being out of service. Yesterday one of the busy 90 diagrams was operated by a minibus, which hasn't happened in a long time. Similarly today the 90 is ran by a minibus, and being the only 'MMC route' today, there must be something oddly occurring for them not to be able to put the Enviro200 MMCs on the route, as there should be many to choose from!

Does anyone know why this could be?

Again today, one 90 and the 92 are both minibuses, grossly inadequate for the weekday loadings of the service. It appears all 4 of the 69 plate 'red' Enviro 200 MMCs are all out of service.
