from a colleague, the line as been shut over a week now
Given the current closure of the line between Wrexham and Shrewsbury (service disruption states flooding between Ruabon and Chirk - it is actually the consequences of high water in the River Dee below Cefn viaduct and the need to inspect the piers) the implications of this on W&S had they still been running would have been serious.
Right now there is no known resolution to the line closure and buses operate between Shrewsbury & Wrexham with an hourly shuttle to and from Chester. The steel trains are routing via Crewe with reversal at Wrexham but no logs are running - not even via the southern end to Gobowen and wrong line working into Chirk) How long can this last?
