Best to use the cat scarer devices. But they can be heard sometimes by younger people, but the most easiest way to keep them out
I still don't understand why people let their cats out. For my cat and my parents we refuse to let them out due to what happens and due to the area we live in.
Not going to accuse but never do any harm to the animals or do what some sick people have been doing by leaving Anti-Freeze out. Also what Darren said is another good way to stop them with spray bottles.
Chris
Because most cats would not like to be kept indoors. Legally you can't own a cat and a cat is free to live where it wants, although if the area you live in is as dodgy as it sounds then I don't blame you for keeping them in, providing the cats are not unhappy with that.I still don't understand why people let their cats out. The area is very much so, also since 'uncommon' breeds most likely would get stolen. They are perfectly happy inside, don't even make it for the door.
@Yorksrob that is very true

You can spoil any animal to make it want to stay indoors. I can't see any reason why you can't spoil your cat and take it out for walks like a dog, on a lead! (so that it gets its exercise)

we have tried that but they go into lazy mode haha. We do play with them a lot, with elastic toys, and dangly toys etc to keep them fit![]()
My nan always used to get two CDs stuck back to back to show the shiny side and hung them with some string so they span around in the wind. Of course that was back in the early 2000s where you used to be able to pick up free CDs from pretty much anywhere.
My sister uses a sonic cat repeller like this which she has placed in strategic locations around the garden. She also has a mobile ultrasonic gun which can be carried around whilst on patroland also works on dogs.

We used to have a cat that loved to sit under cars, buses etc........especially when moving. So we had to keep him in and take him for walks on a lead. Fine, until (as he always did) he shot up a tree. Cats have infinite patience, and it gets very uncomfortable after a while, stood by a tree with one hand holding the lead pointing heavenwards.... take it out for walks like a dog, on a lead! A dog.

Yeah, and I would have no flowers left with it chasing them all over the place!
A dog.
Oranges.
Cat hate the smell of them.
