This station did not close until 1968 and I wonder if there are any website members who have travelled from this station before closure.

I am looking for information on the type of services that would have called at this station in the 1960's and the type of rolling stock that was used on them.

North Eastern Region timetable for 1962/1963 shows a sparse local service between Leeds City & Knottingley. Probably operated by Neville Hill dmus (e.g. types which would later become TOPS classes 101, 104, 108, 110 or 111).

Leeds dep: 07:10, 12:06(SO) & 17:35
Knottingley dep: 07:00, 08:00, 13:05(SO), 18:36

To add to earlier comments. In earlier years, Castleford Cutsyke had been served by Leeds to Goole services. By the March 1967 NER timetable, some of these had been restored, and there were 5 trains each way between Leeds & Goole, plus a morning Knottingley to Leeds service. When Cutsyke closed, they were diverted to the current route, reversing at Castleford Central.

That now confirms what my records were showing at that particular period of the late 1960's.
