Catering is being taken off Cardiff Portsmouth from May so I highly doubt they’ll introduce it to Cardiff Penzance at the same time.

to be fair Cardiff to Portsmouth is usually 166 or 165 so 3+2 not the 2+2 of cardiff to Penzance

Whilst you're probably right, the Cardiff-Portsmouth catering is contracted out to Rail Gourmet to which the contract has expired, any additional catering may well be done in house.

If its CDF-PNZ on an IET (as alleged) then it'll be no bother at all to diagram a host on board.

Assuming first is declassified, it would really only need one host per train at a time
