Can someone please confirm the effective date for when the Cash Option instead of RTV for Delay Repay, ie the date the journey had to take place after? Thanks.

19th July was the date the new NRCoC came into effect, along with the right to monetary compensation.

You might have to ask for cash/cheque (or a bank transfer), as some TOCs are not openly offering it, but will do it on request.

Seconded. I put in for an hour on VT and specifically requested a cheque instead of RTVs, and got a cheque. If you don't ask, you don't get.

If you have RTVs from them for travel once the new rules came in, there is nothing wrong asking them to replace them with a cheque if you send the RTVs back.

I've just had a £50 RTV from VTWC for a delay on a £37 ticket = £16.50 compensation.

I'm not complaining and have no idea why they went down this route on an online claim?
