carriages in Wakefield Europort

I've been past Wakefield Europort a few times and noticed about 7 burgandy carriages and was just curious about why they're there. 1 of them is number 5922

I've wondered that too. Some seem to have caught the attention of graffiti artists, so I'm guessing they're there for protection.

5922 is a DBR carriage, so probably a rake for sale/scrap.

DB Regio. To be honest, I've lost track of which part of DB they belong to! According to a post on wnxx, they're en-route to Healey Mills, but I don't know what for.

DB Regio. One of DB's divisions and the passenger "sister" side to DB Cargo.

If it was a rake of seven including 5922 then it'll be the rake that was until recently stored in Bescot yard.

Interestingly this rake was discussed on the forum relatively recently (http://www.railforums.co.uk/showthread.php?t=132960), with no suggestion of their imminent movement at the time, so I've no idea why they've now made it as far north as Wakefield. The ABrail website does denote them as being up for sale, however.

If they're for Healey Mills, that does not suggest a long-term future to me!
