Carnet Ticket - how to use & restrictions?

I have a carnet type ticket issued by GWR for first class travel anywhere on their network.

How do I use it, do I need to visit a ticket office to activate it and are there any time or other restrictions?

Is this the one where you scratch off the dates and write the journey in, then seal it up with the cellophane? Dark green?

Yes, that sounds about right.

You activate it by scratching off the date and writing the journey on it, then sealing it. You don't need to go to a ticket office. The conditions are on the back. Happy travelling.
