Carlisle - Newcastle - Manchester - Carlisle

[Cheds]

Hello

Please excuse a first post since covid asking for advice. I wish to do the journey Carlisle - Newcastle - Manchester - Carlisle in the same day, starting after 0930, not fixed trains.

There was a time when the routing guide might have allowed this as a simple return, but not now I think. If someone could suggest a way to ticket this I should be grateful.

Thanks

Any permitted Carlisle to Doncaster (e.g. https://www.brfares.com/!faredetail?orig=CAR&dest=DON&tkt=SVR ) should cover it. There may well be cheaper ways of doing it.

thankyou.

When are you travelling?

If you are happy to take slightly slower services, a Northern promotional day ticket plus a couple of tickets to fill the gaps (eg Newcastle - York, Oxenholme - Carlisle) may save you a few bob, particularly if you can commit to one or two Advance tickets.

Good try! but its outside the offer period. Cheers
