Carlisle Flood Write Offs

I've been looking up the Carlisle floods of 2005 but I can't find any information on which buses were written off due to flood damage. Can anyone provide a list of the buses written off due to flood damage in Carlisle after 7th January 2005?

How many buses were actually written off?

Surprisingly, in the fundraising book that I've since acquired, this of the January 2005 flood in Cumbria, doesn't have any pics of stricken buses/coaches, just a fair few submerged vans and cars (and one ambulance) that had unfortunately all come to grief.

I believe most returned to use some with Stagecoach some sold on by the insurance company.

You could probably just search the fleet number on flickr for each one and see if it was photographed after 2005, if not, it was probably written off

MAN ALX300’s 22801, 22811 & 22812 went on to spend quite a while in service with Stagecoach Yorkshire & Chesterfield with most time spent in Barnsley.

The MANs got refurbished. Some stayed, mainly the X reg buses, in service in Morecambe before moving on to Manchester and other Stagecoach areas.
22819 went straight to Manchester after being refurbished and when it was up for repaint.

The Darts had 'T' after their fleetnumbers in some cases (indicating Tidal damage)

iirc there were also some Routemasters in storage at the depot which also bore the brunt of the floodwaters.

The upshot was that Stagecoach Cumbria's last Bristol VR got a reprieve which lasted several months as emergency cover for the fleet.

Most of the 34*** Darts came to Merseyside afterwards (34479/580 went to Peterborough from memory)

At least 6 RMLs were there when the floodwaters hit: RML 2429, 2470, 2495, 2592, 2488 & 2748. They all passed to a dealer in the months following.

Was this PHH 149W (15731)? It lasted until May 2006 from what I can find before being withdrawn, having gained Stagecoach 'Swoops' before then:

Clowes Alexander Sprint bodied Mercedes 709D N 466 VOD was new to Stagecoach Ribble where it was numbered 657. It was later renumbered 40446 and transferred to Stagecoach In Cumbria at Carlisle where it became one of the victims of the January 2005 flood, and subsequently disposed of. It was...

40446 seems to have been another casualty, ending up seeing service outside of Stagecoach.
