I'm not familiar with the area - is Radyr between Cardiff and Treherbert?

Yes. There are two routes from Cardiff Central to Radyr - the main one via. Queen Street, the lesser 'City Line' runs via. Ninian Park. The route through Queen Street is closed on Saturday and Sunday.

On Sunday the trains are still running to Central (mainly running Radyr-Central via. Ninian Park), so you are fine. cmjcf is making a reference to the fact that on Saturday there are some trains running Grangetown-Ninian Park-...-Radyr-Valleys, skipping out Central. This is because Grangetown-Cardiff Central-Ninian Park requires a reversal at Central in Platform 4.

I notice that from Monday onwards the entire service through CDQ has been VAR'd. I assume most of this is just to change the platform numbers.

I notice from Journey Check that the xx38 Merthyrs to Penarth have been calling additionally at the City Line Stations and in one direction. Reason quoted as "Still Under Investigation". I.m sure they would have known from when the first train did this. Are they tring to hide something ?

A lot of confused users yesterday around Cardiff with the changes. I took a train from Grangetown towards Ninian Park, on which there was a least 1 person who thought is was going to Cardiiff central as usual.
