Cardiff-Pontypridd: Height of step-down from carriage to platform

Hello everyone,
I hope to travel from Cardiff Central to Pontypridd in November. I use a walking stick and have limited mobility in my right leg. In order to board and leave the train without assistance, the carriage floor would need to be near enough at the same level as the platform. Could anyone please advise if this is the case? If not, I will request assistance from Transport for Wales.
Many thanks.

The Class 756s mostly used on those services have a little step that comes out from under the door when it opens which makes it completely level from the train floor to the platform with a minimal gap.
