Good afternoon all! Following a query on a German forum, does this ticket (which seems to be available from Valleys stations only) actually exist and what is its area of validity?

There is definitely a one-day version but I can't find record of a weekly one shown in your BRFares link.

That is a different product offering one day validity across the whole Valley Lines network.

what is its area of validity?

Presumably that can be deduced from BRFares by looking up the stations from which there is a fare set - eg those for the one day product.

These are prices to "Valley Lines Zonal areas" - whatever they are - and can only be sold at ticket offices or by mobile (portable) machines.

Right, so one can be bought from Ebbw Vale or Maesteg - notably the one day version is less than the Valley Lines Explorer and available with no restrictions but presumably involves less travel area.

Is this a change to the fare arrangements that hasn't been launched yet?

It is described somewhere online (some years back) as "poorly advertised" so I don't think so

I was the one who dug that ticket up on the other forum – according to this document it "allows off peak travel on Valley lines services and Cardiff Bus (including Cogan and Penarth services)", but then again that file dates from 2004 (!). The only other major reference I found was this letter to the editor from 2010 about Cardiff Bus bus drivers occasionally refusing to accept that ticket because it was too obscure.
