Hi, your excellent advice required again please ...

Have an Off Peak return ticket from West Kirby to Canterbury STNS.
Travelled down yesterday and travelling back today.

The seat reservation provided with the ticket is for the 1725 from Canterbury West into London which would connect with the 1907 to Liverpool.

Is it possible to get an earlier return train on this ticket?

Many thanks,

Jonathan

I am assuming that you have the £107 offpeak return.

In that case, on the return leg, it is not valid on trains that depart from Euston after 1500 and before 1845.

So you can travel back to London from Canterbury at any time today you like, but you must be on a 1500 or earlier, or an 1845 or later, train out of Euston.

Darn it ... ok many thanks for the assistance. I had it in my head that if you were commencing your journey at an off peak time out of London then the Virgin peak restrictions weren't valid! Good job I checked.
